SAME. PROCESS
-
Your first appointment is a chance to chat through what’s brought you here, what you’d like answers to, and which assessment pathway might be right for you.
Simply book a standard (New Clients) Appointment online with our Clinical Psychologist Alex via Telehealth or Provisional Psychologist Freya in person.
-
Next up are typically two 2 hour assessment sessions. This is where Alex or Freya will work through a mix of conversation, questionnaires and standardised testing to build a picture of how your brain works.
Please note number of asssessment appointments may vary, and some comprehensive cognitive testing can only be completed in person. Your psychologist will discuss this with you at your initial appointment and recommend the most appropriate assessment pathway for you.
-
Once everything has been reviewed, you’ll meet with your psychologist to talk through your results, what they mean for you, any diagnosis identified, and recommendations or next steps.
We intentionally allow plenty of time for this appointment, so there’s space to ask any and all questions and really understand your results. You’ll also chat about what comes next, including recommendations and options for ongoing therapy or support, if that feels right for you.
-
You’ll receive a comprehensive written report bringing everything together, including your assessment findings, outcomes and personalised recommendations. Your psychologist will help you make sense of it all, don’t worry!
WHICH ASSESSMENT IS RIGHT FOR ME?
We start with an initial appointment with one of our psychologists, giving you the opportunity to talk through what you’ve been experiencing, what you’d like to better understand, and the different assessment options available. Together, you’ll develop a plan that feels right for you before moving forward with any assessment.
If there’s a particular assessment you’re already interested in exploring, just let us know when you book!
Your assessment is tailored to you. Depending on your individual needs, your psychologist may recommend additional cognitive, learning or personality assessment to help build a more complete picture.

-
For people wanting to explore whether Autism may help explain their experiences with communication, sensory processing, social connection, routines and the way they experience the world.
-
A combined ADHD + Autism assessment for people who want to explore both together and understand how the two may interact.
neuroaffirming practice.
Our approach is neuroaffirming, strengths based and designed to build a clearer picture of how your brain works. For many people, assessment, and/or diagnosis can bring validation and context to experiences they may have spent years trying to understand.
Your assessment explores both strengths and challenges, and your psychologist will provide you with personalised tool that can support you at home, work, study and in everyday life.
